Adobe Scout is one of the most impressive Flash-related tools to appear in years. So it’s great news to see that Adobe is about to release an update that features support for memory allocation tracking, which was badly missing from the original. You can see a sneak preview in the video below.
While powerful, the sheer volume of profiling information that Scout produces can be really overwhelming. Thankfully Thibault Imbert was on hand at an Adobe MAX session to demonstrate the power of Scout and to help you make sense of all the data. You can find a link to the video here. What’s also interesting is that at the 27 minute mark, Thibault demonstrates an experimental build of Scout profiling HTML and JavaScript. Exciting stuff.
